Discover lush bush, golden sands and heavenly blue water before escaping the sea to soar over breathtaking Kahurangi National Park on a luxury helicopter flight over Lord of the Rings country and beyond.

Departs: Recommended departure time 10.00 am from Stephens Bay – one way cruise through the Abel Tasman with walking and kayaking opportunities. After lunch we cruise up to Awaroa to meet the helicopter at 3.00 pm for 2 hours of spectacular scenery.

• Wine In The Wilderness:

An exclusive guided tour from the door of your accommodation by luxury Mercedes. Travel to the first of two wineries to meet the wonderful wine creators and gain an appreciation of this renowned wine region. Enjoy the personalities and philosophies of the locals. Then, on to Stephens Bay for your scenic cruise through the Abel Tasman National Park.

After a lunch of fresh local delicacies in a secluded cove head ashore with your guide for a bush walk with stunning views and discover how the early pioneers and Maoris used different native plants and herbs for medicine and food. Returning to the beach it becomes real relaxation time to taste the very best of local wine varieties matched with the finest local produce that may include hot smoked salmon, mussels, venison, cheese or scallops.

The hardest part is leaving this idyllic place to be returned to your accommodation.

• Tasman National Park Day Trip Scenic Cruises:

Join our scenic cruise for the most special day trip, exploring along the Abel Tasman National Park’s coastline; passed Split Apple Rock, Kaiteriteri, Marahau, round golden sandy bays, Adele and Fishermans Islands, and on to Tonga Island seal colony.

After boarding your boat at Stephens Bay, we cruise around the headland to Split Apple Rock, taking our time to enable you to get the best views and photo’s. Here you may see several shags drying their wings above the warm rocks after their early morning fishing.

Our cruise itinerary is flexible, and your friendly, knowledgeable skipper will ensure you are able to learn about the Abel Tasman. If there is something to see on your day trip, like dolphins riding the bow wave or New Zealand fur seals fishing, then we’ll go and take a look. Similarly if there’s an Abel Tasman National Park feature you want to see, then please do let the skipper know and s/he’ll try to accommodate your wishes.

We provide a delicious platter style lunch with fresh local ingredients. Our day trips depart 10 am daily, returns 4 pm.

Overnight In The Abel Tasman:

Join us for a scenic cruise and sleep over in the aptly named Anchorage Bay in the Abel Tasman National Park. This is a fun charter and combines a cruise with the possibility of sea kayaking or walking in the Abel Tasman before dining on the back deck.

Later, after dark, maybe a romantic walk along the beach to see the glow-worm cave. Or just soak up the friendly Anchorage atmosphere and swap stories over a bottle of the local vintage.

After a continental breakfast you may cruise back to Stephen’s Bay (by 8.30am), or have a short walk along the forest track or beach before joining our day trip. Alternatively, talk to us about the many hiking, boating and flying options we offer.
